Black Lives Matter
We have found it difficult to put into words the shock, disbelief, anger and frustration of what we’ve seen over the last week with the murder of George Floyd.
Mores so because this is not a one-off incident. It happens again and again. The scale of the injustice, racial discrimination, inequality and oppression, is prevalent not only in the USA but also here in the UK and in many countries throughout the world.
As many people and organisations post about the issue, many feel unsure what to do, what to say. In all honesty we were unsure of the best thing to say. But silence isn’t an option.
We want to listen. We want to learn. So, any recommendations of books to read, profiles we should be following, films or documentaries, and speakers/voices we need to hear, please let us know.
Books we’re reading and sites we’re following that we’d like to share:

*Me and White Supremacy: How to Recognise Your Privilege, Combat Racism and Change the World — Layla Saad
*The Hate U Give — Angie Thomas
