21 Years. Countless Fundraising Campaigns. Real Impact.

As DTV celebrates 21 years of delivering creative, impactful fundraising campaigns, we’ve been reflecting on some of the standout moments from across the years.

From early productions to breakthrough digital campaigns, we asked some of our team to share the projects that have meant the most to them and why.

In this blog, you’ll find a collection of personal stories from across our teams, highlighting the creativity, collaboration and cause-driven passion that’s been at the heart of DTV since day one.

All the way from Ethiopia

Kicking us off is our Founder and CEO, Peter Muffet, celebrating a campaign that truly left its mark. Peter’s standout memory? Filming with Brooke in Ethiopia in 2022. It was Peter’s first international animal shoot and was an unforgettable project which combined heartfelt strong-telling and a deep respect for the people (and animals) involved. It was intense, powerful, and packed with purpose. Everything we strive for in our work at DTV.

It’s time to test, learn and optimise

We’re shining the spotlight on Susie Hull, one of our Senior Producers at DTV Australia, who’s been reconnecting with a cause close to her heart: Lifeline.

Since joining late last year, Susie’s been working on a powerful integrated acquisition campaign that’s evolved into an always-on digital testing strategy.

And we’re not stopping there. Two brand-new DRTV creatives are in the works. Keep your eyes on the screen later this year!

Paddington, Postcards & Pure Joy

Meet our Senior Copywriter, Alfie Waldron. His pick? Paddington’s Postcards for Unicef UK, a project full of creativity, animation, and pure joy. From scripting to soundtrack, it was one of those “wow, I love my job” moments.

Fighting waste with a powerful message

Next up is Tessa Leal, Producer at DTV Australia. Her standout project? The connected TV and digital campaign for OzHarvest, a cause committed to reducing food waste and getting meals to people who need them most.

A campaign that made a big difference

We’re shining the spotlight on Ruby Goodridge, one of our fantastic Producers, sharing a DRTV and digital campaign that really hit home.

Ruby chose ‘Lucky’ which was our very first Regular Giving ad for Humane World for Animals, tackling the heartbreaking dog and cat meat trade. The content is tough, but seeing the impact the campaign has had, reminds us all why we do what we do.

Where it all began

Steve Walker, one of DTV’s Founders is taking us back to where it all began.

Steve’s choice is one of the very first ads we made at DTV! It was a campaign for WSPA (now World Animal Protection) focused on bears in captivity. Oh, and the soundtrack - you might recognise it? REM’s “Everybody Hurts” was secured with permission from Michael Stipe himself.

It’s stories and memories like this that remind us how far we’ve come.

A full circle moment

Finally, we're meeting Trinity St.Lewis, Assistant Producer at DTV Australia. Her standout project? The WWF Tiger Adoption DRTV campaign

This one hits close to home for Trinity who used to ask to adopt a WWF Tiger for her birthday every year as a child. So, when her first DRTV project turned out to be for WWF and tigers, it truly was a full circle moment.
