Here for opportunity: helping StreetVet launch their new cinema Campaign

If you are in the cinema this month for Supergirl, look out for StreetVet’s new campaign, Little Heroes.

For those experiencing homelessness, their pet is their primary source of companionship, love and emotional support - their whole world. That’s why, just under a decade ago, StreetVet was founded by two vets who went out onto the streets of London to provide free, essential and accessible veterinary care and services to the pets of people experiencing homelessness. Now more than 500 volunteer vets, vet nurses and support volunteers take the practice to the pavement at 30+ different outreach clinics across the UK. They deliver vaccinations, microchipping, flea and worming treatments, general health checks and pain relief. Anything that can be done in a consulting room they can do on the streets.

One of their partners kindly gifted StreetVet some Gold Spot ad space in the trailers for the new Supergirl film, featuring the much beloved ‘Krypto’ super dog.

StreetVet reached out to us in May with news of this opportunity and asked us to help them create a spot. With only a month to turn it around, we were able to guide StreetVet through the whole process - including onboarding, concepting, production, Cymba setup and clearance - working quickly whilst maintaining quality.

The key to working efficiently was outlining all the requirements and production steps from the very start. A huge array of items needed to be considered and getting them all in-motion, simultaneously, within the first week, allowed us to turn the creative around with time to spare.

This project highlights how fast we can mobilise to make sure amazing causes like StreetVet can maximise opportunities like this.

DTV are always happy to offer guidance when opportunities present themselves, so never write off a campaign because of perceived resource issues or time constraints; have a chat with us first!

As a charity with a marketing and fundraising team of just three people, opportunities like this can feel daunting when timelines are tight. The team at DTV were incredible, helping us transform existing footage into a high-quality, impactful cinema campaign in a matter of weeks. Their expertise, responsiveness and hands-on support meant we could make the most of this fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of StreetVet’s vital work.
